It explores their shared power to invoke the living forces of ancestry, nature, the earth, water sources, and the invisible.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Islamic\u00a0communities of Al-Andalus left a profound and lasting imprint on\u00a0musical traditions\u00a0that later developed into\u00a0 flamenco, particularly in the\u00a0cante jondo\u00a0tradition. Their influence endures in many of the songs still passed down today, and in the fundamental rhythms and structures of flamenco \u2014 especially in the\u00a0siguiriya\u00a0and the\u00a0sole\u00e1, two of its oldest and most emotionally charged forms.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Together with dancer Paula Comitre and singer Roc\u00edo Luna, the artist seeks to summon the memory of women \u2014 those who have safeguarded transmission, preserving songs, gestures, and stories across generations.
