    Eric Delpont was appointed to the board of MACS MTO in July 2024. <\/span><\/p>\n

    He is a History of Art and Museology graduate of the <\/span>\u00c9<\/span>cole du Louvre. Since 1985 he has worked at t<\/span>he Institut du Monde Arabe<\/span> in Paris leading on audiovisual productions and temporary exhibitions, managing exhibition catalogues, and curating heritage and thematic exhibitions including <\/span>Medicine during Caliph\u2019s Times<\/span><\/i> (1996), <\/span>The Heritage of Algeria <\/span><\/i>(2003), and <\/span>Arts of Islam, Masterpieces from the Khalili Collection<\/span><\/i> (2009). He was appointed director in 2012 and has been responsible for the institute\u2019s Islamic art collection since 2002. From 2009-2012 he oversaw the renovation of the institute (narrative and display). <\/span><\/p>\n

    Recently, Eric worked on two exhibitions produced by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Culture, <\/span>Scripts and Calligraphy: A Timeless Journey <\/span><\/i>in 2021 and <\/span>Scripts and Calligraphy: Paths to the Soul<\/span><\/i> in 2023.<\/span> He was named Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
