Sufi music and Samā’ by MTO Zendeh Delan® Ensemble

Discover the Sufi practice of samā accompanied by the sound of Sufi music.

Samā is the Sufi practice of “musical audition” – a state in which the practitioner hears, sees, and experiences the calling of the Divine, entering a condition of pure joy ( called vajd) that permeates the entire being.

In samā, with each turn, the lesson of self knowledge is taught and experienced. Each posture carries sacred meaning, embodying divine names and Quranic letters.

This event combines Sufi music with a presentation of samā, its movements and signification.

Please note that this event is designed to be an immersive and contemplative experience. In order to respect the atmosphere and the artists, we ask all participants to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
