The Musée d’Art et de Culture Soufis MTO® (MACS MTO®) was conceived and founded by Maktab Tarighat Oveyssi Shahmaghsoudi ® School of Islamic Sufism (MTO)® and is considered to be the first example of its kind.
Although several museums and institutes are currently dedicated to Islamic arts, none were previously devoted solely to Sufism, nor did they emphasise the spiritual relevance of works created according to the principles of Sufism. The singularity of this museum has caught the attention of the art world and the Islamic world, as the following sources note.
