A journey through the world of restoration
Insights from experts and discussions with the general public

We invite you to join us for a special meeting with two experts from Atelier Galli Heritage who have contributed to the restoration of artworks for us  at our institution. Join them as we take a look behind the scenes and explore the meticulous work that restores artefacts marked by the passage of time to their former splendour and clarity.

Restoration is not merely a craft: it reveals a highly precise skill set, at the crossroads of art and science. Did you think the scalpel was only a surgeon’s tool? You’ll discover it’s also a restorer’s. With rigour and delicacy, the restorer examines under infrared light, cuts, and handles needles and solvent gels like a chemist. They may even use suction nozzles, much like a real open-heart operation.

Through this event, let us guide you along the path that connects Atelier Galli Heritage to projects of international scope, right up to our venue at MACS MTO, where we can engage in dialogue and discussion together.

More than just a profession, it is a vocation that these experts wish to share and pass on, an opportunity for you to enjoy a Saturday dedicated to discovery and to explore the current exhibition.

So if your young people are searching for a career path, now is the time to offer them the chance to come and discover this profession!
