This workshop explores the relationship between breath and growth. Breath, invisible but essential, sets matter in motion; growth is its gradual manifestation. Through careful observation of the museum garden, participants are invited to take a sensitive look at plants: their shapes, rhythms, repetitions, variations, and fragilities. The workshop continues with the creation of a short stop-motion animation, designed as a visual metaphor for living things in transformation. The transition from observation to animated image allows participants to explore time, movement, and narration—fundamental dimensions in a contemporary artistic approach—and to initiate coherent personal work for a competition portfolio.

Atalias is a French visual artist whose practice explores portraiture as a space of revelation and presence, where notions of identity, memory, and otherness intersect through the gesture of the hand. With thirty years of experience in the field of creation, acquired in demanding artistic and cultural environments on an international scale, she develops works combining drawing, sculpture, and interactive digital devices. Her immersive and sound installations engage the viewer in a sensory experience of the visible and the invisible.
