Dr Ghazaleh Esmailpour Qouchani
Immerse yourself in a sensitive and poetic guided tour, at the crossroads of contemporary art and Sufi spirituality, led by Ghazaleh Esmailpour Qouchani, art historian and scientific advisor at MACS MTO. Inspired by Niẓāmī’s Persian masterpiece Haft Peykar (The Seven Portraits), this tour invites you to discover King Bahram’s inner journey through portraits of seven princesses from seven regions of the world. Each pavilion, associated with a colour, a day of the week and a planet, becomes a symbol of a stage of self-knowledge and fulfilment of destiny. Through manuscripts, objects and jewellery with coloured stones, you will explore how Sufism connects colour, light and subtle centres of the heart to guide human beings towards their mission and true value. This journey explores how self-knowledge, in Sufism, is an art, an action that brings the magic of existence to life.
