Rachid Koraïchi

Rachid Koraïchi born in eastern Algeria is a major cosmopolitan artist whose career has been internationally recognized and awarded. Influenced by Sufism since childhood, his work often pays tribute to his masters (Ibn Arabi, Ibn Khaldoun, Saint Augustine, Jacques Berque, etc.). A committed artist, many of his works explore and reinterpret the spiritual and cultural identities of North Africa, which were mistreated by colonization. Throughout his career, he has developed a personal visual language, often collaborating with his poet and writer friends. A builder by training, his immersive installations convey a strong spiritual and historical charge, such as the one paying tribute to Emir Abdelkader and his entourage at the Royal Castle of Amboise. He was recently nominated for the 2026 edition of The Great Arab Minds Initiative award in the United Arab Emirates in the “Literature and Arts” category.
