Hana Chidiac was appointed to the board of MACS MTO in July 2024.
She graduated from Paris-Sorbonne University in Art History and Archaeology and has 17 years of experience gained at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris from 1983-2000, notably curating the temporary exhibition Yemen, in the land of the Queen of Sheba. In 2001, she joined the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac where she was appointed Head of the North Africa and Middle East collections. In 2011, she produced the exhibition Women in Orient, which was a great success with the public. She is currently working on an exhibition project dedicated to gold in textile arts with Chinese designer Guo Pei. Hana taught Arabic epigraphy at the Paris-Sorbonne University and the École du Louvre, and is the author of numerous articles in collective works with specialized journals.
She was named Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2011, and Chevalier of the Ordre national du Mérite in 2014.
